QBOND

Description

QBOND is a single component multi purpose acrylic based bonding agent with special additives. It can also be used as a waterproof membrane for chajjas, terraces, balconies, roof slabs and under tile areas. It accommodates limited crack movement in underlying surfaces. It has very good bonding property, it becomes part of the structure.

  • SURFACE PREPARATION : Fresh masonry or concrete surface must be allowed to cure for at least 14 days. Concrete must be clean and rough. All oil, grease, dirt, debris, paint and unsound concrete must be removed. All cracks>1mm should be filled with suitable crack fillers.
  • BONDING PRIMER : To use as a bonding primer coat over non porous substrate, mix QBOND with clean potable water in the ratio 1:1 by weight. Apply one continuous coat with brush or roller on the substrate Ensure to apply the requisite topcoat when the primer coat is still tacky.
  • CEMENT MORTAR: A suitable mix ratio for patching repair mortar is portland cement:50kg, Quartz sand:150kg, QBOND 10kg and water:10ltrs. Mix it thoroughly using a paddle mixer
  • WATERPROOF SLURRY:Mix QBOND with water and Portland cement in the ratio of 1 part QBOND:0.5 part water:2part cement using slow speed mixer to produce lump free homogeneous slurry. On damp surface, apply the first coat using brush or roller in one direction. Minimum 2-3 coats are recommended depending on the nature of the surface. Clean tools and equipments with fresh water before the material hardens
  • Shake the container well before use.
  • Surface should be damp but not saturated
  • Proper curing is required
  • Employ cold weather or hot weather practices as the temperature dictates.
  • Do not use material at temperatures that may cause premature freezing.

This product has a minimum shelf life of 18 months in unopened container and when stored under normal temperature. It should be protected from extreme temperature and preferably stored in shade.

QBOND is packed in 1 kg & 20 kg containers.

QBOND is safe, non toxic, eco-friendly and presents no health hazards. As with all chemicals caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles etc to be worn. INHALATION of vapour or mist should be avoided. In case of EYE CONTACT flush with large amount of clean water and seek medical advice. For SKIN CONTACT, clean with water and soap untill all traces have been removed. In case of INGESION, drink plenty of water and seek medical attention immediately.
